Programs of Jayatu Sanskritam

Jayatu Sanskritam has been marching ahead by preparing and implementing a. long-term. b. short-term, c. contextual and d. annual programmes as described below.

a. Long-Term Program
Jayatu Sanskritam is an autonomous non-governmental organisation with perpetual successorship. So it intends to move ahead with support and co-operation from all sides. Nepal has been an original abode for Sanskrit scholarship from the ancient times. Several works in Sanskrit were written during Lichchhavi period, Malla period and Shah period. This organization has a long-term aim to protect, promote and propagate Sanskrit scholarship through different programmes. It also has an aim to join hands with organisations with similar interest and establish Nepal Sanskrit Academy and mobilise Sanskrit scholars. Jayatu Sanskritam has plans to establish Jayatu Sanskritam Award and honour Sanskrit scholars annually, to organise annual Sanskrit poetry symposium, to publish Sanskrit books and magazines, to write and enact Sanskrit plays and to prepare audio-visuals in Sanskrit.


b. Short-Term Programs
Jayatu Sanskritam has the programs that can be completed in a short time such as Sanskrit language training, training on religion, philosophy and culture.

c. Contextual Programs
The organisation plans to organise programmes according to time and context. Seminars, discussions, interactions and philosophical talks on the occasions of certain festivals will be organised.

d. Annual Programs
An annual calendar will be prepared to systematically organise programmes in the year. Under this, programmes like annual general meeting, Jayatu Sanskritam Day (Asar 1), Jayatu Sanskritam Award distribution day, Sanskrit poets' conference, Talk programmes on Sanskrit and culture and Sanskrit language training.
